A resource management card game created for my university's Game Jam where students from all years in the Games Design course got together in groups to make some digital and physical games within 48 hours. The theme was Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. This is a 4 player game in which your aim is to be the fastest one to evolve yourself from an ape to the ultimate being by swapping and collecting the correct resources for each evolution you go through. During my time studying in my course, we mainly made digital (video) games and as an avid fan of boardgames (physical games), I jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with other students to make one. We got the main idea and basic concept of our game pretty early on and the rest of the time we had left we used to get people to play test and refining the game before showcasing it at the end.
